FAQ

Why is 400g white cardstock used?

400g white cardstock offers high stiffness and compression resistance, holds its shape well after forming, and is well suited to retail display and transit protection.

Will the four windows compromise the strength of the package?

No. The window positions are carefully designed and combined with a one-piece film lamination, effectively maintaining the overall strength and stability of the package.

Why not use ordinary PVC window film?

A one-piece film lamination is used, with no extra window film required. The transparent area is flatter and cleaner, less likely to peel, and lifts the overall quality of the package.

What are the advantages of thick matte film lamination?

Thick matte film lamination offers wear resistance, scratch resistance, moisture resistance, and stain resistance, while improving the touch and premium feel of the package—a better match for mid- to high-end sports-care product positioning.

Can the package showcase different colored products?

Yes. The four display windows can correspond to different colored sports bandages, allowing consumers to quickly identify the color they want without opening the package.

What customization options are supported?

We support customization of package size, box structure, window position and shape, print design, spot-color printing, QR codes, anti-counterfeit codes, sequential numbers, and a range of surface finishes, plus fast sampling and small-batch production.

📖 📖 More Details

When we started this sports bandage packaging, the first thing we did not do was pick the paper.

The first thing we thought about was: when a shopper stands in front of the shelf, how do they know which color is inside the box?

The most recognizable design on this sports bandage packaging is the four circular display windows on the front—directly showing the different colored bandages inside. The point of this design is not "we cut four round holes." It is turning the product color, normally hidden inside the box, into information the shopper can see directly.

The core problem this case addresses

Sports bandages come in multiple colors (skin tone, blue, pink, black, red, etc.). How does the packaging let a consumer pick the right one at a glance?

If you use an ordinary opaque color box, the consumer only sees the words "sports bandage" and cannot tell which color they want. They have to: pick it up → look at the package → guess the color → open it or ask → then decide.

The thinking in this case goes the other way—let the product color itself become part of the packaging. Consumers do not need to open the box or guess from text; one look tells them whether the box contains the color they want.

Why we considered how the shopper chooses first, not which paper to use

Sports bandages are different from medical consumables—color itself is important information when consumers choose the product. If the packaging is fully enclosed, the consumer can only judge from the text and color blocks on the surface; if the actual product is exposed, the judgment becomes much simpler.

The first thing we confirmed with the client on this project was not "what is the box style" or "which paper to use," but "how many colors does this product line have, and how do consumers tell them apart." Once the display method is set, the choice of box style and material becomes meaningful.

Why four circular windows

Too few windows: the consumer cannot see enough color information—it is the same as no window at all. Too many windows: the front of the package becomes fragmented, the box integrity is compromised, and it no longer looks like a complete package.

This project ultimately settled on four circular windows—this judgment is not "as long as there is a window it is fine," but a balance between "display area" and "package integrity." Four openings is a specific choice made for the color count of this product line and the box dimensions, not a universal rule.

The window shape (circular) follows the same logic—a circle is the most classic display-window shape, highly recognizable, mature in production, and echoes the round visual elements of sports bandages.

After the window is cut, the real headache is not "can you see inside"

Cutting windows is easy. The real headache is making the package still look like a complete box afterward.

If you simply stick a piece of clear PVC on top, the transparent area and the paper board show an obvious seam—the edge of the film and the surface of the board have different materials, reflect light differently, and it looks like something "stuck on," not something "grown from the box."

This project ultimately adopted a one-piece film lamination—keeping the transparent area and the overall surface finish consistent. The surface is matte, and the window area is also matte, with no seam marks, and the whole box reads as a single piece visually.
